Since May 2nd there has been no news of a young woman missing from Taormina, whose voluntary removal was reported this afternoon by the mother to the local Carabinieri station. The woman, Denise D'Arro, 17 years old, resident in the Trappitello hamlet, was last seen at 8pm on Thursday 2 May, when she voluntarily walked away from her place of residence, bringing her white dog with her.

Since then, no trace of her has been lost and her mobile phone is turned off. At the time of her removal, the girl, approximately 1.80 meters tall, with red hair and blue eyes, was wearing blue jeans, a black sweater and white shoes. The Prefecture immediately activated the provincial plan for the search for missing persons, in which all the Police Forces and Fire Brigades participate.
