Taormina, allegedly sexually abused two young colleagues of a hotel structure: 38-year-old arrested

In recent days, the Carabinieri of the Taormina Company arrested a 38-year-old originally from northern Italy, in execution of a precautionary custody order under house arrest, issued by the GIP of the Court at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Messina, carried out in Calabria, the current place of work of the suspect considered the alleged perpetrator of the crime of “Aggravated and continued sexual violence” committed against two adult boys.

The events, which supposedly occurred in Giardini Naxos last June, gave rise to an investigative activity carried out by the Carabinieri and coordinated by the Messina Public Prosecutor’s Office, initiated following the complaints filed by the victims.

In particular, the military personnel of the Arma, on the basis of the statements made by the victims and some witnesses, were able to trace the dynamics of the facts and acquire incriminating elements regarding the suspect, who, when he was an employee of a hotel in Giardini Naxos, on several occasions he sexually abused two young colleagues.

The serious evidence of guilt collected by the Public Prosecutor who delegated the investigations to the military of the Arma, were shared by the GIP of the Court of Messina, who issued the precautionary measure, executed by the Carabinieri against the suspect.

The above, for the purposes of exercising the right to report, constitutionally guaranteed and in compliance with the rights of the person under investigation, who, in consideration of the current stage of the preliminary investigations, are to be presumed innocent until the irrevocable sentence that ascertains their responsibilities and with the specification that the trial, which will take place in adversarial proceedings with the parties and the defense before the third and impartial judge, may also conclude with the proof of the absence of any form of responsibility on the part of the person under investigation.
