A meeting dedicated to extraordinary women who have redefined their role in cinema, culture and the audiovisual industry, moderated by the artistic director of the festival Tiziana Rocca, and animated by great personalities, starting with the godmother of this edition Anna Valle and the Oscar-winning director Jane Campion, president of the jury. With them the casting director Francine Maisler; costume designer Miyako Bellizzi, Oscar 2026 for “Marty Supreme” by Josh Safdie; the actress Holly Hunter, winner of the statuette in 1994 for Campion’s “Piano Lessons”; the actresses Donatella Finocchiaro and Paola Minaccioni; the French actress Clotilde Courau (co-star of the film “Benedetta” by Paul Verhoeven, in competition at Cannes in 2021), and Sue Kroll, Head of Global Marketing, Film, Series and Brand of Amazon MGM Studios.
To complete the parterre, the director Francesca Archibugi and the Brazilian actress and writer Fernanda Torres, Golden Globe 2024 for best actress in a drama film for “I’m still here” by the great director Walter Salles, where she played a great woman, Eunice Paiva, lawyer and activist who challenged the Brazilian military dictatorship, responsible for the disappearance of her husband Rubens Paiva, engineer and deputy of the PTB, the Brazilian labor party.
