That name is too similar and must be changed. The Sicilian Region disputes the birth of the Taormina Foundation, approved on April 28 by the City Council to promote tourism, enhance the image of the city and organize events.
The Regional Department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment has in fact sent a note to the Municipality by contesting the name assigned to the new body and asking to evaluate a back married.
The document, signed by the General Manager Maria Concetta Antinoro and by the manager of the service 8 musical and theatrical activities Maria di Ferro, refers to the request of the Municipality of Taormina to obtain the extraordinary contribution of 194,000 euros provided for by the regional law 25/2024, with which the one initially intended for the Taormina Foundation in the World-Mazzullo Foundation was repealed and assigned for the establishment and management of a Foundation having the of tourism and cultural promotion.
