On the day in which Agostino Ascone would have celebrated his forty years, the Court of Appeal of Reggio Calabria celebrated the second hearing of the second degree trial for the murder of the agricultural entrepreneur from Amato di Taurianova.
Yesterday morning, Antonio Salvatore Figliuzzi’s lawyers asked for an expert opinion on the Fiat Uno used on the day of the crime to travel from Rosarno to Taurianova. According to the accusation and the first degree sentence, Figliuzzi and Trapasso had faked a breakdown to attract the attention of Ascone and then have the victim accompany him to Rosarno, where he would die.
