“During the proceedings of yesterday’s Regional Council it was questioned the question signed by me which I presented following the strong complaint of a woman resident in the Vibo area suffering from a serious pathology. In order to obtain a life-saving drug and therefore have her fundamental right respected, the citizen was forced to threaten to chain herself to the gates of the ASP of Vibo Valentia”.
This is what the regional councilor of the Democratic Party states in a note, Raffaele Mammoliti.
“A situation that has been going on for some time and which exposes young and old people to endure a real hell with very long waits and then sometimes being told that there is no medicine. I reminded President Commissioner Occhiuto that leukemia patients, cancer patients, multiple sclerosis patients and other chronic pathologies go to the local pharmacy. An unbearable shame. If we then also consider that there are no chairs, toilets and adequate shelter to shelter from the sun and rain, the picture becomes truly bleak and dangerous. Commissioner Occhiuto shared my concerns and the critical issues exposed. Naturally I asked them to act with adequate timeliness by speaking with the commissioners to definitively adopt an effective reorganization of the service and to restore the usability of the places and make them adequate and compliant with regulations. I will follow this problem with the necessary attention in all the competent bodies until concrete solutions are reached.”
