Hey Joe the new film by Claudio Giovannesi, played by the American actor James Franco, arrives in Calabria to shoot some scenes in our territory. The set will be hosted in Pizzo Calabro and Villaggio Mancuso. On stage, therefore, the beauties of the Calabrian sea in its Tyrrhenian declination, the iconic landscapes of Villaggio Mancuso in the Catanzaro Sila.
The places and nature of Calabria are therefore confirmed as perfect natural sets for stories and settings of great cinema and audiovisual media becomes an effective way to carry out territorial promotion and marketing actions and to present the places and beauties of an enchanting region. Filming will take place in Calabria for two weeks, until December 10th.

The plot

New Jersey, US, 1971. Dean Barry, an American veteran who abandoned a pregnant girl in Naples after the war, when he receives a telegram with the news that she is dead, decides to return to Italy to meet his son.
Dean believes it is possible to bridge twenty-five years of absence, but his son is now a man and has grown up in the underworld.
