The “dancer” seat between FdI and Lega: in Messina it will be a battle to the last vote

The tail end of an electoral campaign which, all things considered, was without history, with the largest victory ever by the mayor Federico Basile, was instead enlivened by a vote-by-vote battle, entirely within the Centre-Right: that between the Brothers of Italy and the League. There is a seat at stake, but also more: a good chunk of coalition leadership, within a city council in which the balance, both between the majority and the opposition and within the political areas themselves, will be delicate and all to be defined. Yesterday the Central Electoral Office stopped, according to the calendar of activities communicated by the presiding magistrate, Giuseppe D’Agostino, to the various list representatives. We will resume this morning, until lunchtime, and we will continue with the aim of closing the game of list votes and, therefore, the distribution of seats this Saturday, and then starting the last step, the one relating to the preferences of the individual city councillors.
