The investigation into the death of 62-year-old entrepreneur Raimondo Mamone, who was struck by a mechanical shovel while working in a Larderia Inferiore company on 29 September, is making new progress. After the autopsy ordered by the prosecutor’s office and carried out last Monday, attention focused on the dynamics of the accident. In particular, under investigation by the Flying Squad investigators, there is the mechanical vehicle that hit the entrepreneur while he was engaged in technological modernization work within the company that deals with waste disposal and earthmoving.
On October 16th, technical investigations will take place on the mechanical shovel that had been seized as well as the area within the Larderia Inferiore company where the tragic accident occurred. The maneuver that the mechanical vehicle was carrying out at that moment, the visibility and the functioning of the acoustic and light signals must be verified. These are technical investigations necessary for the investigation conducted by the deputy prosecutor Liliana Todaro on the hypothesis of manslaughter, also contested administrative offense of violation of workplace safety regulations.
