The Eurocamera rejected the motion of no confidence against the EU Commission, led by President Ursula von der Leyen with 360 votes against, 175 yes, and 18 abstentions. The vote was attended by 553 MEP. To pass, the motion, presented by the Romanian conservative Gheorghe Pipea, should have collected 360 votes in favor and two thirds of the votes expressed.
The delegation of Fratelli d’Italia (ECR Group) to the European Parliament did not participate in the vote on the motion of no confidence against the Ursula von der Leyen commission. In addition to Fdi, the MEPs of the delegations of the Czech Republic, Spain, Lithuanian, Latvia, Bulgaria did not take part in the vote.
