An autopsy will be carried out on the body of Clara Garigali, the 80-year-old from Limina who died last Tuesday following the road accident that occurred on 9 October on the Santa Teresa di Riva seafront, when she was hit by a car while crossing the pedestrian crossing. Yesterday the deputy prosecutor Massimo Trifirò, head of the investigation opened by the Prosecutor’s Office which sees the 59-year-old GULC from Savoca, driver of the Volkswagen Golf that hit the old woman that day, is being investigated for road homicide, ordered the unrepeatable technical investigations, namely the autopsy examination on the woman’s body and consultancy on the dynamics of the accident. The assignment of tasks will take place on Monday morning in the Prosecutor’s Office, first to the medical examiner for the autopsy (which will most likely be carried out during the day) and then to the engineer. Andreas Pirri for the report aimed at establishing what happened on the Paolo Borsellino seafront, when Clara Garigali was hit with the front left part of the Golf and thrown a couple of meters further on, suffering a deep head injury. The motorist is defended by the lawyer. Carmelo Vinci, while the 80-year-old’s children are assisted by lawyers Ernesto Marcianò and Antonio Miano. The parties will be able to appoint their technical advisors on Monday.
