The knife found near the place of the crime is not the one used to kill Sara Campanella. This was confirmed by the first investigations of the Ris: on the blade there is no blood trace compatible with the victim, while some clothes seized to Stefano Argentine have traces of blood – but the analyzes are not yet definitive.

The carabinieri had found the knife about 150 meters away from the place of femicide, but from the first bars the investigators had expressed doubts about the fact that it could be the weapon with which the young man attacked his university colleague.

The real knife remains unobtainable, as well as some clothing, including the jacket that – thanks to the images of a video surveillance system – is sure that Stefano wore at the time of the crime.
