«Emilia Pèrez», French director Jacques Audiard’s musical narco-thriller about a Mexican drug trafficker who transforms into a woman, won the Golden Globe nominations with 10 nominations as the Hollywood Awards season opened. The film, which won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, stars transsexual actress Karla Sofìa Gascòn in the lead role, together with Zoe Saldana and Selena Gòmez in supporting roles. All three have been nominated for the Golden Globes, which will be awarded on January 5 and are considered the prelude to the Oscars.
