The Citadel’s Environment, Landscape and Urban Quality department, from 10 November to 29 December last year, authorized the Enki company to carry out 234 trips to transfer “soil and rocks containing dangerous substances” from the D15 deposit, which is located inside the former industrial area, to the NG Nordic Sweden AB plant in the city of Kumla.
On 16 June 2025, the Eni group company, owner of the contaminated sites, started environmental remediation interventions after having obtained the green light to deliver 40 thousand tonnes of dangerous materials (free of Tenorm and asbestos) to Sweden, of the total 362 thousand tonnes present in the areas of the former Pertusola and former Agriculture plants.
