Lighter gas bill in March for vulnerable customers and go -ahead from April to the 200 euro bonus for electricity for families with Isee up to 25 thousand euros scheduled for the DL bills. These are the news communicated by the Arera.
On the gas front, it drops by almost 10% (9.9% to be precise) compared to February the reference price of methane for the new type type – that is, a family with average consumption of 1,100 cubic meters per year – and stands at 117.46 cents of euros per cubic metro. An excellent news, the consumers of Unc and Codacons comment, calculating an annual saving of 143 euros but defining “a sting” the sum of the annual gas expenditure for 1,292 euros with the light bill for a total of 1,903 euros. Moreover, observes the expense for a type family is higher than over 15% than in the same period of 2024.
Consumer associations positively welcome the light bonus, however, warning that it will not be automatic for everyone but only for those who receive the electric social bonus with an ISEE up to 9,530 euros and up to 20 thousand euros for large families. Other users will have to take action by presenting specific documentation, in particular the unique substitute declaration to INPS. Codacons therefore considers a carpet information campaign. Aretra, as usual, communicates the updated value of the raw material within the first 2 working days of the month following the reference. For March, which saw the wholesale quotations in decisive decline compared to those recorded in February, the price of the raw material only is equal to 42.52 euros per MWH for customers in the vulnerability protection service, i.e. over 75 years, those in economically disadvantaged conditions (for example, bonus recipients), disabled and who is in an emergency home due to calamitous events. The gas reference price is divided as follows: 48.41 euro cents (equal to 41.22% of the total bill) for the supply and related activities; 6.15 cents (5.23% of the total) for retail sale; expenditure for the transport and management of the meter 26,80 cents (22.82% of the total bill); 2.94 cents (2.5% of the total bill) for the general system charges and 33.15 cents (28.23% of the total) for taxes.
