Slovenian Tadej Pogacar won the Giro d'Italia. In the last stage, which ended at the Fori Imperiali in Rome, a winning sprint by the Belgian Tim Merlier, who preceded Jonathan Milan.

A domination, that of the 25-year-old champion of the UAE Team Emirates, who closed with six stages under his belt and also won the blue jersey as the best climber, on the shoulders of the second in the special ranking, Giulio Pellizzari (VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè ).
