The future of the Nicholas Green Gardens and the former Mazzini school, the halt to wind turbines in the municipal area, but above all the next steps on the burning issue of waste collection. These are the issues addressed by the mayor Nicola Fiorita who yesterday met with the group leaders of the City Council.
The most complex issue is certainly linked to the waste ban and the recent findings made by the Anti-Corruption Authority. In summary, there are two critical issues highlighted by Anac, the first concerns the transition signed by the Municipality and Sieco, the other focuses instead on the extensions which from 2022 have allowed Sieco to continue the service even after the expiry of the tender. The mayor assured that the municipal administration “will act as per the indications of the Anac”. First of all, the mayor explained that he will try to start a dialogue with the National Anti-Corruption Authority. The objective could be that of a new hearing in which the same citizen could participate, bringing all the documentation to the attention of the ANAC.
