“Enough of smearing our Municipality, our community, our citizens; enough of how certain media insist on the equivalence “Rosarno Mafia”. Nobody denies the problems, nobody denies the presence of cumbersome families, but we are a community made up of 99% honest people. The murder of Antonio Bellocco happened in Milan in recent days, it was a great disappointment because our country is once again in the news for mafia issues. There is a hospital in Rosarno, but it doesn’t work and it would be of great help to the community. Basic services are lacking. The right to health does not exist”. This was declared by the mayor of Rosarno Pasquale Cutri interviewed by Klaus Davi who is currently in Rosarno for an investigation into the murder of Antonio Bellocco.
“The death of Antonio Bellocco must make young people reflect. For a moment of happiness they spend their lives as fugitives or in prison or in the worst cases, as in this case unfortunately, underground. We will work in schools – assures Cutrì – to raise strong awareness: the life of a criminal is not all domination, it is not all power. We are not subjected to any pressure from the ‘ndrangheta gangs, no conditioning, no one has come close. We are all united to form a shield against corruption. No request, no indecent proposal. We are not afraid Francesco Pesce known as “Testuni”, he will not be the real mayor of Rosarno. If he is free it means that the State has considered that he has served his sentence. We will not be subjected to any pressure from him or from others”.
