After the recent congress, the Messina Democratic Party is preparing for a new political season in the name of renewal and dialogue with the territory. The reorganization of the provincial secretariat and the updated composition of the neighborhood councils mark a turning point for the PD, with the aim of bringing citizens closer to local politics again.

The neighborhood councils, described as the party bodies closest to the community, become the fulcrum of a daily lived policy, capable of capturing collective needs and transforming them into incisive actions. “They are a precious resource for interpreting and representing collective needs,” say the Club Secretaries in a note. This renewed attention towards dialogue with citizens materializes in the desire to strengthen the bond between the party and the local community.

Membership day
Next weekend, the Messina PD is organizing a city membership day, open to all those who wish to join or renew their participation in the party. Each neighborhood will have a dedicated meeting point, with specific times to facilitate participation:

  • 1st District: Saturday 28 December, from 5pm to 7pm, in Via Trave 31, Giampilieri.
  • 2nd District: Saturday 28 December, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, in Via Marco Polo 370 at the “Friendship Club.” Here, the secretary Francesco Carabellò will lead a club assembly with the participation of city councilors, the regional deputy Calogero Leanza and the provincial secretary Armando Hyerace.
  • 3rd District: Saturday 28 December, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, always at the “Friendship Club.”
  • 4th District: Saturday 28 December from 5pm to 7pm and Sunday 29 December from 10am to 12pm, in Via La Farina 91, first floor.
  • 5th and 6th District: Saturday 28 December, from 3pm to 7pm, in Via S. Maria dell’Arco 55.

A Party in Movement
With this initiative, the Messina PD aims to strengthen participation and political belonging, leveraging renewed energy to face the challenges of the territory. “Politics must once again become a point of reference for citizens, and this membership day represents an important step in this direction,” underline the club secretaries.
