Rende raises the curtain on a project that aims to change the cultural face of the city and the entire South. Mayor Sandro Principe announced the construction of the House of Music, a new architectural structure with symbolic and functional value, destined to transform the urban area of the Museum of the Present into a true national opera centre. An ambitious idea, built thanks to the collaboration with the actor and director Giancarlo Cauteruccio, who contributed to the definition of the artistic and cultural concept of the work.
The property will be built in the large Metropolis square. The intervention, financed with 2 million euros, includes a scenographic and innovative structure, designed to ideally “close” the square and transform it into a new urban space dedicated to creativity. One of the most characterizing elements will be the retractable roof, which will allow the structure to be used even during the summer season, hosting concerts, operas, performances and outdoor artistic residencies.
