The Municipality of Crotone has decided to be a civil party in the criminal procedure against Antonio, Domenico, Mario and Domenico Chimirri “relating to the serious events that have happened that have deeply shaken the community”.
The trial concerns the aggression suffered by the policeman Giuseppe Sortino. The 38-year-old vice-inspector on October 7, 2024 killed Francesco Chimirri, the 44-year-old Tik-taker pizza chef, with a blow exploded by his ordinance gun at the height of a scuffle, in the lampanaro district.
“The decision was born from the firm will of the body to protect the founding values of civil coexistence and to reiterate its active role in the defense of legality and justice, in particular when such dramatic episodes affect the social and human fabric of the community”.
