On October 12th we had an argument, they kicked my car. They had this fixation that they had to shoot me.” Thus on Tg1 the real target of the shooting in Capizzi in which a 16-year-old, Giuseppe Di Dio, died and a 22-year-old was injured. Two weeks earlier, he reveals, he had been threatened by Giacomo and Mario Frasconà, the two brothers arrested with their father Antonio for the murder, in front of his home.
“They only told me – he remembers – come to the gate… But I didn’t go because I knew they had this gun”. On Saturday evening, also accompanied by his brother Mario and his father Antonio, Giacomo fired at least three shots, which hit, killing him, Giuseppe Di Dio, and a friend of his, injured but not in danger of his life. When asked if he thinks it could have been him in Giuseppe’s place, the real target of the shooting says: “Yes and I feel very sorry for the family”. “Now I feel safer”, he adds speaking to the Tg1 correspondent and hoping that the three “remain in prison for life”.
