The NGO Louise Michel lands in Reggio Calabria with 32 migrants

In the late afternoon today, around 6.10pm, the NGO Louise Michel’s unit arrived at the port of Reggio Calabria with 32 migrants on board. Among the rescued on the ship, there are 17 men, 2 women, 1 minor and 12 unaccompanied minors (MSNA). The migrants on board come from several African countries, including Sudan, Eritrea, Gambia, Senegal, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Somalia. The ship’s arrival follows rescue operations conducted by the crew in international waters, as part of humanitarian missions aimed at safeguarding lives in danger during the Mediterranean crossing.
