“Marco Bucci is the right person to give continuity to the growth of Liguria carried out in these years thanks to the excellent work of the center-right. Bucci has demonstrated, in the field, to be an excellent administrator”. Thus in a joint statement Giorgia Meloni, Matteo Salvini, Antonio Tajani and Maurizio Lupi announce that the center-right candidate for the Presidency of the Liguria Region is Marco Bucci, current Mayor of Genoa. “He was one of the protagonists of that ‘Genoa model’ that allowed the wound of the Morandi bridge to be healed in record time and the new San Giorgio Bridge to be built, he carried out major infrastructure works, invested in the specificities of the territory and took care of redeveloping the suburbs of Genoa. We are convinced – they add – that Ligurian citizens will appreciate his administrative and political skills and support the path of change started by the center-right. We thank Mayor Bucci for accepting this new, extraordinary challenge. A choice that once again demonstrates his love for his land”, they conclude.
Bucci: “If the Democratic Party says I’ll win, I’m super happy”
“I’m happy that Simone D’Angelo says that we will go to vote soon for the City Council: it means that I win. If the Democratic Party says that I win, I’m very happy”. Thus said the mayor of Genoa, Marco Bucci, leaving his office in Palazzo Tursi to reach the meeting in the Metropolitan City. The mayor thus commented in front of the Genoese secretary of the Democratic Party, D’Angelo, his statements on the return to the polls for Genoa and on the fact that Bucci’s candidacy in the Liguria Region for the center-right was disrespectful for the citizens.
The challenge to former minister Orlando
On the day the center-right announces the candidacy of the mayor of Genoa Marco Bucci for the regional elections in Liguria, the challenger Andrea Orlando, aligned with the broad progressive camp, officially launches his electoral campaign. “Ligurians, with their heads held high” is the slogan chosen by Andrea Orlando that from today kicks off with the communication campaign on social media, on the web and in all the Ligurian provinces. “We need to lift Liguria up, do it with our heads held high, proud of our land that does not deserve the bad government of recent years and the scandals of recent months, and that risks a paralysis with irreversible consequences for the economic, social and productive system of the region – reads a note released by the press office -. A collective campaign that has Andrea Orlando as its representative, but that calls citizens to the responsibility of commitment, participation and change”.
The slogan is “Do it well”. Because “Liguria – explains the staff – has been at a standstill for too many months and needs a Regional President who knows how to do things, but above all who knows how to do things well. Healthcare, infrastructure, mobility, development, quality work, environmental sustainability, innovation and social rights: Orlando has the experience, the profile and the seriousness to best represent these needs”.
