Tomorrow, Friday 7 November, at 10.00 am, the State Property Agency will officially hand over to the Mayor of Messina, Federico Basile, a portion of the Real Dogana complex, consisting of the historic seafront warehouses, currently unused, located between via Rizzo and via Savoca.
A symbolic place of the city’s identity and central piece in the urban regeneration process started with the Messina City Plan.
The initiative represents the first concrete result of the agreement signed last January between the Municipality of Messina and the State Property Agency, aimed at valorising public real estate through a shared strategy of urban regeneration and returning spaces to collective use.
The Director of the State Property Agency, Alessandra dal Verme, will personally hand over the Royal Customs Warehouses to Mayor Basile during an institutional ceremony to be held at the historic complex, in the presence of the institutional representatives involved.
