The restoration works of the provincial road 167/1 Tiriolo–Marcellinara will begin tomorrow, seriously damaged following the “Nils” meteorological event which hit the area in recent days causing critical issues and inconveniences to local roads. The bad weather caused collapses of the road surface, landslides and damage to infrastructure, making urgent intervention necessary to guarantee the safety of citizens and the restoration of normal circulation. Today, the vice president of the Province Francesco Fragomele and the Regional Councilor Antonio Montuoro were present at the site of the landslide to carry out an inspection. «This is a fundamental intervention for the territory – it was underlined – because this artery represents a strategic connection for the entire Reventino area. The start of the construction site marks a concrete step towards returning to normality after the emergency caused by “Nils”. The objective is to complete the interventions in the shortest time possible, compatible with the weather conditions and the complexity of the planned works. The Provincial administration of Catanzaro will continue to monitor the situation, ensuring constant updates to citizens on the progress of the works and any changes to the road network.
