A 51-year-old non-EU citizen arrested for the home robbery against a couple from Castroreale was traced to Vittoria, in the Ragusa area. He is held responsible for robbery, aggravated injuries caused by the use of weapons and mistreatment in the family. Following the attack, the Carabinieri had started investigations coordinated by the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto Prosecutor’s Office directed by the Prosecutor Giuseppe Verzera, who based on the first investigative results issued a detention order for the suspect in the crime against the man. The latter, former partner of one of the two victims, was tracked down in the Ragusano area and arrested by the Carabinieri of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto. The Judge of the preliminary investigations of the Ragusa court, fully agreeing with the investigative findings and the accusatory structure of the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto Prosecutor’s Office, validated the arrest. The victim of family abuse was accompanied to a protected location.
