Aggravation of the precautionary measure to which a karate instructor, a 64-year-old from Santagatese, already known to the police, was subjected.
In December 2024, following serious indications of crime against the man regarding alleged sexual acts carried out without the victim’s consent, the suspect was subjected to house arrest with electronic monitoring.
At the time, the 64-year-old had been banned from working as an instructor, masseur, as well as any other activity within the facility where the conduct contested by the Patti Prosecutor’s Office allegedly occurred.
In February 2025, the precautionary treatment was eased, so the man was subjected to the mandatory residence measure, although the interdictory measure remained.
The subsequent checks carried out by the policemen of Sant’Agata di Militello made it possible to ascertain that he, despite the imposed ban, continued to frequent the same sports facility as an instructor.
The appropriate reports of the violations committed, shared by the Patti Prosecutor’s Office – led by Angelo Vittorio Cavallo – allowed the investigating judge to order the aggravation of the precautionary measure.
After the ritual formalities, the sixty-four year old was taken to his home under house arrest with the application of an electronic bracelet.
