The majority of the resigning mayor Vincenzo Voce holds sway. Indeed, from what emerged during the work of the City Council yesterday afternoon, the mayor’s step back has favored a calming of the atmosphere, which has been tense since the first day of the current council session.
This was demonstrated by two fundamental steps that occurred during yesterday afternoon’s meeting: the first was the rejection of the proposal by councilor Antonio Manica, who had asked his colleagues to postpone all the items on the agenda, and to let a possible commissioner management take the decisions that the meeting then took instead.
The second notable step was related to the approval of the 2024 consolidated budget which saw the Municipality close with a loss of 921 thousand euros, a loss resulting from the debts incurred by the Congesi consortium which was responsible for the management of the integrated water cycle until last year.
