The “Carlo Zuccaro” retirement home in Taormina, a structure owned by the Municipality, officially passes into the hands of “Taormina Social City”.
The new subsidiary will take over the management of the property from today and, at 11am, the delivery of the property and all the documentation by the “Cooperativa XXI Aprile”, which has managed the retirement home since 2017, is scheduled.
At the end of the dispute initiated in recent months, on which both the Catania Regional Administrative Court and the Palermo Cga expressed their opinions, the cooperative committed to releasing the property no later than December 1st and last month the parties reached an agreement in order to avoid the interruption of the public service.
“XXI Aprile” has undertaken to deliver to the Social Services Office of the Municipality all the documentation in its possession regarding the current employees and the elderly hospitalized in the facility, with the list of staff hired with fixed-term and permanent employment contracts together with the relevant files and the list of hospitalized elderly people, with indication of their personal details and telephone contact, with the exception of medical records.
