Entopan, an international think tank on development and innovation issues, in partnership with Feltrinelli, launches Consonances – Author’s Dialoguesa cycle of monthly meetings with leading writers of fiction and non-fiction. The exhibition will touch the main cities of Calabria and is designed to bring dialogue between authors and local communities outside the conventional spaces of editorial presentation, enhancing the vocation of Southern Italy as a place that generates ideas and relationships. With this initiative, Feltrinelli, through the authors of the publishing center and the collaboration of booksellers and bookshops, strengthens its presence in Southern Italy, in line with the Group’s commitment to spreading quality culture, social innovation and critical thinking.

The main meetings will take place in the Entopan spaces in Catanzaro, accompanied by widespread stops in bookshops, universities, high schools, theaters and spaces of cultural interest, to encourage broad and transversal participation. Of particular importance is the collaboration for the Cosenza area with the Humanities Library of the University of Calabria. Each appointment will be an opportunity for open dialogue between the guest author and prominent figures in the area (academics, journalists, researchers), addressing from time to time central themes for our present.

The Consonanze exhibition fits fully within the cultural trajectory that Entopan has been pursuing for over twenty-five years, with the aim of integrating culture, ethics, technology and sustainable development, encouraging an authentic dialogue between humanistic roots and innovation, in coherence with the paradigm of Harmonic Innovation created by the founder Francesco Cicione. It is in this direction that Consonanze renews the link between knowledge and territory, between cultural traditions and the future, taking literature beyond academic contexts and conventional editorial spaces. Through dialogues in unexpected places and the active participation of authors and citizens, the project translates this vision into practice: an innovation capable of producing generative, inclusive and sustainable results for the entire community.

To open Consonances will be Matteo Nucci, writer and scholar of the classical world, known for an approach that combines historical rigor and narrative dimension. In his works Nucci restores classicism as a living heritage, intertwined with the civil and educational questions of our time. At the center of the inaugural meetings will be his latest work, Plato. A love story (Feltrinelli, 2025), a biographical novel that for the first time traces the life of the great Athenian philosopher. The author follows Plato from his childhood – marked by the loss of his father and the presence of a strong mother – to his youth marked by family pain and historical upheavals (such as the defeat of Athens against Sparta). Through the defeats, loves and discoveries of the protagonist, Nucci offers the reader a new perspective, capable of transforming the image of the philosopher. His philosophical narrative, compelling and accessible, challenges clichés and invites us to rethink the way we experience time and cultivate knowledge.

The authors will meet students and teachers at the University with whom they will establish dialogue and discussion. This educational dimension completes the Consonanze experience, intertwining the presence of the authors with the academic and cultural life of the area.
