After the Gulf of Mexico was renamed the Gulf of America, Donald Trump has returned to making incursions on geographical maps: the president of the United States has relaunched on Truth a map of the Strait of Hormuz in which the arm of the sea disputed with Iran is renamed ‘Trump Strait’, complete with oil tankers flying the Stars and Stripes flag that pass easily through the arm of the sea.

Tehran’s reaction was immediate: “It was truly a terrible mistake”, replied the Iranian foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, on print his portrait on a limited edition of US passports.

«He is convinced that he is the most powerful who ever lived, he compares himself to the great men of history such as Alexander the Great, Caesar and Napoleon», reveal sources close to him speaking to The Atlantic magazine. Trump, in short, “wants to be remembered as someone who accomplished feats that others could not have achieved thanks to his power and willpower.”

After all, it has been one of the distinctive features of the tyycoon’s style since ancient times: building around one’s image, transforming entertainment and politics into a single tale of power. Donald did it in the 1990s with The Apprentice, the NBC show that kept him afloat after his reputation as the Midas of real estate went into crisis due to a series of bankruptcies and other financial troubles.

It is therefore no coincidence that, after the documentary ‘Melanià, Jeff Bezos is contemplating a new gift to the tycoon: according to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon is considering a reboot of the series in which, as Donald cannot sit at the CEO’s table, the eldest son Don Jr. would have the role of the host. The e-commerce giant purchased the MGM studios in 2022, which owned the rights to the reality show which for 14 seasons kept Trump’s name clearly visible on the national scene.

The discussions – reports the Wall Street Journal – are at the initial stage and Amazon has not yet approached the Trump family. But if the show goes ahead it will be distributed in streaming on the Prime Video channel where the documentary on Melania also landed after a brief presence in cinemas.
