The vice president of the Calabria Region, Filippo Pietropaolo, elected in the Italian Forum for urban security: “My commitment to strengthening collaborations between territories”

“It is a source of great pride for me to represent the Calabria Region within the Fisu, the Italian Forum for urban safety, which for over 25 years has brought together the main Italian cities, unions of municipalities and regions to promote new urban safety policies” .

This is what the vice president of the Calabria Region states, Filippo Pietropaolo, with delegations also to Legality and Security, commenting on his election to the Executive Committee of the Fisu, which took place last November 29th in Bologna, on the occasion of the general assembly of the association held at Palazzo D’Accursi.

The mayor of Bologna was elected as president Matteo Lepore and, alongside the Calabria Region, the Executive Committee will see the participation of other Italian entities, including the cities of Milan, Florence, Modena, Turin, Brescia, Reggio Emilia, Loano and the Unione Terre di Castelli.

The assembly, which represented an important moment for planning future activities and sharing experiences and strategies, saw the participation, representing the Calabria Region, of the Legality and Security sector official, Antonella Sette, and representatives of the main Italian urban realities .

“I would like to express my most sincere thanks to the assembly for choosing me as a member of the Executive Committee, a nomination that represents recognition of the work that Calabria is carrying out on the integrated urban security front, a central theme for the well-being of our communities . My commitment in the Executive Committee – continues the vice president – ​​will be aimed at strengthening collaborations between territories, promoting exchanges of good practices and innovative solutions to prevent and manage phenomena of deviance and urban disorder. I strongly believe in the need for safety policies that combine prevention, legality and social cohesion. In this sense, the synergy with other cities and regions represents a precious resource. Calabria, within a national network, will work with determination to contribute to the dissemination of security policies capable of concretely improving the quality of life of citizens”.
