Settecolli was born in 1966 from a collective of friends who shared the passion for sport.
The volleyball activity starts in 1967, the year in which the first affiliation to the FIPAV and the Usacli sports promotion body takes place.
Over the years, in the FIPAV field, the company reaches excellent goals, starting from the provincial categories and culminating with participation in Serie C championships. Its activity develops in the territories of Cosenza, Rende, Castrolibero and Mendicino.
Thanks to the pandemic, the volleyball path in the federal field undergoes a forced stop until the sports season 2024/2025. And it is precisely in this year that a series of “propitious” events determines the resumption of competitive activity, strongly desired by President Pierfrancesco de Napoli.
On the occasion of the imminent sixty -year -old of the foundation of the company, it is De Napoli, supported by the visionary ideas of his son Francesco, who decides to celebrate the event by marrying an ambitious project: reporting volleyball to the glories to which the company was used to, starting from the provincial male’s provincial championship with the aim of reaching, over three years, the regional series C.
The project took shape in the summer of 2024, thanks to the lucky union between the management of the ACLI Settecolli and the technical staff of the volleyball sector from Cus Cosenza: Mister Massimo Stella and the head of the Mary Cuscin sector. Together they decided to transfer and graft the group of athletes, protagonist in the previous season of excellent results, inside the Polisportiva based in Castrolibero.
During the month of August all the activity of the different groups are scheduled, from youth to amateur, to the first male and female first division teams.
The season has not been without difficulty, especially logistics, which risked compromising how much meticulously planned. This was also evidenced by the report published on February 5, 2025 by Lacnews24, signed by the vice -president Francesco De Napoli, entitled: “In Cosenza the bureaucracy is killing sport”. The article analyzes the serious difficulties that push many ASDs to give up the promotion of sporting activity, due to the lack or unavailability of the structures.
It was only thanks to the tenacity of the managerial group, which has found alternative solutions for training and official matches from time to time, and the great self -denial of athletes, capable of adapting to any situation, if the ACLI Settecolli has managed to complete all seasonal commitments.
Sacrifices rewarded by an almost impeccable path, which led to the victory of the championship, the promotion and the right to enroll in the regional Serie D.

«For me it is a huge gratification to think of the path made, from where we started and the finish line reached, despite the enormous difficulties faced in recent months! The boys were extraordinary in the growth and in following the dictates of Mr. Stella … each have adapted to the needs of the group and the team without ever objecting. They have made commitment and have worked constantly, pursuing the result, even during the session of university exams and despite almost all out of office students … what more? My applause goes to all of them and to the staff who followed them … “
