The Carabinieri of Tropea carried out checks aimed at compliance with the safety measures and prevention measures applied to the subjects monitored, as well as the protection of public safety and the fight against dangerous driving conduct.
During the activities, the soldiers of the Limbadi station reported a man subjected to probation, held responsible for the violation of the obligations imposed. The man was in fact caught in the company of individuals with criminal records, conduct in conflict with the provisions of the measure in place. The competent judicial authority was notified of the investigation.
The Carabinieri also reported a second subject subjected to special public security surveillance for failure to comply with the provisions: the man, recipient of the measure in relation to previous cases of mistreatment in the family, was caught outside the house where he was required to stay at the time.
Also in Limbadi, during specific services aimed at checking the correct custody of legally held weapons and ammunition, the military reported a local man after having ascertained the presence of 12 more cartridges than what was declared in the complaint, configuring an irregularity in the detention of the material.
During road traffic checks, two drivers were checked because they showed symptoms compatible with the intake of alcoholic beverages. Both refused to undergo the blood alcohol tests required by the Highway Code: both were charged, as well as having their licenses withdrawn and their vehicles seized for confiscation purposes.
