The 2025 data show a decline in hotel structures to the advantage of short-term rentals. How do you view this trend and what specific challenges does it pose for traditional hotels?
«The topic is complex and must be addressed without simplifications. In large cities and destinations with strong tourist attractions, hotels have nevertheless withstood the impact: in contexts such as Milan, Florence or Venice, even with a greater number of structures, occupancy rates of around 90 percent would have been achieved. However, it is clear that the non-hotel sector has experienced very significant growth, especially that regulated by regional regulations, such as B&Bs and guest houses”.
