A car with three very young people – a fourteen-year-old was driving – skidded on a bend and ended up in the swimming pool of a villa. The three boys are dead. Nitrous oxide tablets were found in the vehicle, which the very young driver apparently consumed. The incident happened in Alès, in Gard (southern France). The owner of the villa called for help after noticing the car ended up in his swimming pool around 2 in the morning. The car had “skidded on a curve, hit the wall surrounding the property and then overturned, ending up in the swimming pool, resting on the roof and with all 4 wheels up, confirmed the prosecutor, Abdelkrim Grini”.
The same prosecutor ordered an autopsy, according to which the 3 boys died from “drowning”, since it would have been impossible for them to get out of the car: “Truly the height of horror – reported the prosecutor – it was impossible for them to open the doors. They did not die from the impact of the accident. They found themselves with their heads down, in the icy water, unable to get out. They had no chance.”
In addition to the fourteen-year-old driving, there were two friends aged 15 and 19 in the vehicle, the latter known for drug trafficking.
