A dramatic agricultural accident occurred in the afternoon today, around 15:50, in Orsigliadi, in the municipal area of Ricadi. To lose his life was the driver of a tractor, who was crushed under the vehicle after a road exit.
According to reports from the firefighters of the provincial command of Vibo Valentia, who intervened with the staff of the detachment of Ricadi, the tractor, for reasons still under investigation, suddenly lost adherence with the roadway, falling into a ground below for about five meters.
The impact was fatal for the man driving, found without vital signs under the agricultural half. The rescuers provided for the safety of the area and the incidental vehicle, and then proceeded with the recovery of the body, an operation performed only after the authorization of the magistrate on duty.
The dynamics of the accident is now being examined by the competent authorities.
