Drama in the Catanzaro. The Fire Brigade team of the Command of Catanzaro, detachment of Chiaravalle Centrale, intervened from about 9:45 pm yesterday for a serious road accident that occurred along the SS713 “Transversale delle Serre”, near the junction for the Municipality of Argusto.
Two cars were involved in the clash: a Fiat Panda and a Volkswagen Tiguan. The budget of the accident is unfortunately serious: a woman has lost her life, while three people are injured, one of whom in serious condition. The latter was extracted from the sheets thanks to the intervention of the firefighters. Fortunately, two children on board one of the vehicles were unharmed.
The wounded were entrusted to the care of the health personnel of Suem118 and subsequently transported in an ambulance to the hospital facilities.
On the spot also the carabinieri for legal obligations and for the start of the investigations useful to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
The section of the SS713 affected by the accident is currently closed to traffic to allow rescue operations. The firefighters also proceeded to secure the vehicles and the impact area.
