One dead and one injured: this is the tragic outcome of a dramatic road accident that occurred this morning in the San Marco Argentano area. The violent impact on a bend saw a Jeep off-road vehicle and a flatbed truck collide head-on on the provincial road leading to the A2 Spezzano – Tarsia motorway junction not far from a service station. Unfortunately, the driver of the SUV got the worst of it. The other driver was injured and in serious condition and was transported by air ambulance to hospital in Cosenza. The emergency services and the police forces were on site, in this case the carabinieri of the Compagnia di San Marco Argentano for the investigation of the circumstances. The identity of the victim and that of the seriously injured person are not yet known. The causes are being investigated and are still being investigated by the police who are proceeding to reconstruct the dynamics of the tragic accident.
