Aeroitalia continues to focus on the international airport of Umbria extending connections between Perugia and Lamezia Terme until 24 October 2024. The route, initially scheduled until mid-September, will operate with two weekly flights, every Thursday and Sunday, until the end of October. This extension was made possible thanks to the increase in demand for connections with Southern Italy and the success of the route, inaugurated in June 2024.
Gaetano Intrieri, CEO of Aeroitalia, and Umberto Solimeno, general manager of the San Francesco d’Assisi Airport in Perugia, expressed satisfaction with the results achieved and the expected growth in traffic at the Umbrian airport.
Since the beginning of operations in Perugia, Aeroitalia has transported over 20,000 passengers, consolidating the strategic role of the Umbrian airport in the company’s network. With this expansion, Aeroitalia further strengthens its presence in the Italian market, offering new travel opportunities for both business and leisure passengers. (
