The Provincial Health Authority of Crotone informs the citizens that numerous attempts have been reported in these days. Several users have communicated to our Cup branches that they had received messages with the following tenor: “Please urgently contact our Cup offices at the following number 899 XXX XXX, for important communications that concern it”, or in any case referring to alleged communications by the ASP.
It is an attempt to scam. Crotone’s ASP does not use these channels and does not send messages in which citizens are invited to contact paid numbers (899 or the like), nor uses these numbers for their official communications.
The Pythagorean Health Authority, led by the extraordinary commissioner Monica Calamai, invites citizens not to respond to these messages and not contact the numbers indicated, being a scam aimed at generating unjustified charges.
For any doubt or request for clarification, citizens can contact the Cup counters directly and for any information or communication must rely exclusively on the official channels of the Crotone Asp. It is also appropriate to report suspicious episodes to the police.
Crotone’s ASP therefore invites citizens to maximum prudence. Similar scams have also been reported in other areas of Italy, where deceptive messages, often apparently attributable to health or institutional bodies (such as non -existent health, social security, energy communications, etc. …), invite you to contact paid numbers such as 899, with the sole purpose of causing economic damage.
