One injured and traffic diverted onto alternative routes. The causes of the overturning of a large truck, around 4 in the morning, a few meters from the Campotense motorway junction were being investigated. The load of mandarins traveling from Sicily to the northern markets ended up on the motorway during the impact, thus blocking the regular flow of vehicles. Passing motorists immediately notified the emergency services: the driver of the vehicle was transported to the Pasqua Ferrari hospital in Castrovillari. His condition is being examined by the emergency room doctors.
After the reopening of the motorway and the narrowing of the affected section at km 176,000, in the municipal area of Morano Calabro in the province of Cosenza, to allow the removal of the load and above all of the vehicle, traffic has now returned to normal thanks to the intervention of Anas staff which allowed the restoration of regular traffic. Police and Anas personnel intervened on site.
