The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, accuses Russia of wanting to slow down the negotiation process. In a message published on Telegram, the Kiev leader spoke of “really difficult” meetings, claiming that Moscow was trying to drag out the negotiations, which “may already have reached the final stage”.

Zelensky said he had met with the team of Ukrainian negotiators, to whom he would assign “a clear task”: to do everything possible to ensure that the talks remain effective and to increase the chances of a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

The declarations arrive at a delicate phase of the diplomatic confrontation, while the international community continues to carefully follow the developments of the negotiations.
