Even the last step down has been taken. Reggio wins the black jersey and finishes in 106th place, “taking away” the bottom place from Catania. The 19 parameters monitored by the analysis of Legambiente, Ambiente Italia and Il Sole 24 Ore photograph a city that today only has green ambitions. In the general ranking on the urban ecosystem, the three Calabrians (Crotone, Vibo Valentia and Reggio) close the ranking, also penalised, as Legambiente explains, by the fact that the territorially competent ARPA (Arpacal) has not communicated the data on air pollutants. But this cannot compromise a detailed analysis, so much so that Cosenza, despite this limitation, is placed at the top of the ranking, the only one from the South among the top twenty in a general context in which the distances between North and South are crystallized.
