III edition of “The tear in the paper sky”, a national competition for monologues and theatrical shorts.
The association of social and cultural promotion – Theater workshop “La Ribalta” by Vibo Valentiaonce again promoted this appointment within the agenda of its annual activities. The members of the Company Giusi Fanelli, president who together with Anna Vardè, Giusy Cicciò, Anna Portaro and Eleonora Rombolà confirmed themselves bright and fun presenters, Antonio Fortuna, creator of the competition that took care of the artistic direction together with Emilio Stagliano and Rosario Gattuso, also the protagonist of the direction assisted by Nico Barbuto, with the technical coordination of Maria Chiara Crupi and the video productions of Antonio Gattuso, still Once they have kept the silent promise, made to themselves and the entire community, not to surrender in carrying out events and theatrical works that for over 20 years have been a flagship for over 20 years, not only for the city of belonging, but for the entire region.
Several times, in fact, they have graduates representatives of Calabria in national theatrical competitions by Uilt (Italian Union of Italian Libero Theater), a federation to which they belong. The final, of performance and award ceremony, of the third edition of this wonderful event came to life at the Modern Teatro Cinema in Vibo Valentia on 16 May. An evening in which, as for the other editions, the 3 monologues and the 2 finalist theatrical shorts, who had the best of all the works received from all over Italy at the editorial staff of La Ribalta APS, the titles of: Best theatrical short -theme shorts were disputed, the best theatrical monologue with themed “Angels and demons” theme, best actor and best actress, best direction and the special prize La Ribalta. The public, for about 2 hours, has incessantly applauded the proposed works, all of a high level. The arduous task of establishing the winners of the prizes had a technical jury made up of: Paolo Ascagni (national president Uilt); Enrica Candela (author, director, choreographer); Mariano d’Ermoggine (actor and theatrical performer); Gianluca Sia (director and screenwriter Calabria Film Commission); Giovanna Villella (theatrical critic).
The prizes for the best actor, best direction and best theatrical short were awarded to Luca Falleri and Andrea Senesi of Città di Castello (PG), with the text “I am bringing them the flowers”. The best actress award went to Annalisa Pagano who played the monologue “La Strega”. Wolfango Tedeschi (Milan), interpreting “The extermination of the pink triangles”, won the prize for the best monologue. At “La Memoria di Ganamel”, played by Marco Zazzeri of the Krios Teatro di Pisa company, the limelight was awarded. Angels and demons, the theme of this edition, was particularly treated and also represented by the components of La Ribalta who, playing with outfits and particular content, managed to create a studied and necessary scaletta for the succession of the works in the race, all in an original and brilliant way. This competition is now expected to be a fixed appointment by those who include the importance and social relapse of the only national theater competition promoted in the Vibonese territory.
