The soap opera continues. With press releases. Like a dog that twists and sometimes bites its tail, the center-left is trying to identify the “right” path, in view of the next administrative elections. It so happened that, after a few days of silence, Five Star Movement, Progressives and Social Humanism have taken pen and paper back to dictate the… line.
First of all, “the firm conviction of wanting to continue to carry forward the dialogue with all the alternative forces to the centre-right” was reiterated. And up to this point, little or nothing new. Good intentions that are perpetuated without finding the right path to revive the alliances. But the real news, unknown until a few weeks ago, was something else.
«The opening to all civic and party acronyms alternative to the centre-right, free from pre-established positions», is considered, in fact, «the only realistic and reasonable possibility to prepare a competitive and winning proposal to oppose the coalition that has dethroned the city in the last twenty years”.
That is, M5S, Social Humanism and Progressives are ready to welcome “anyone who wants to be part of the group without impositions” into their home.
A “shared” path which “cannot be hindered and stopped if the common objective is to overcome the current state of affairs and offer the city and voters the credible alternative they have long hoped for”.
Words which the city secretary of the Democratic Party Francesco Colelli does not hesitate to counter: «In politics – Colelli blurts out – everyone knows that you often change your mind. And December is a month that brings good advice.”
