Good news for the residents of the inhabited center of Vibo Valentia: with ordinance no. 40 of 09/05/2025, the mayor Enzo Romeo has officially revoked the ban on the use of water for potable purposes and for human consumption, previously arranged with ordinance no. 4 of 17 January 2025.
The provision had been adopted precautionaryly following the off -standard parameters detected in the waters intended for human consumption, according to the provisions of Legislative Decree 18/2023. The areas affected by the ban included:
Via S. Aloe, from Viale Alcide De Gasperi to via XXV Aprile (excluding the police school and the police headquarters);
Via Emilio Priesto;
Via Antonio Assisi;
Via Filippo Polistena;
Via Angelo Leone.
The revocation decision came following the note of the ASP of Vibo Valentia (prot. No. 29697 of 09/05/2025), in which the Department of Prevention – UOC Hygiene of Food and Nutrition certified the return of the parameters within the legal limits and proposed the revocation of the order of non -potability.
