His mother is originally from Torre Melissa, in the Crotone area. And he grew up there. “I was born in Rome on August 10 – he told us – and five days later they immediately took me to the seaside. As the years went by, I always lived my summers in Calabria, as well as all the holidays. And my best friends live there, there are four of them and we have known each other for forty years.” We said that he was an anti-star. And he, the actor Vinicio Marchioni never misses an opportunity to demonstrate his love for his Calabria. In recent days he has pleasantly impressed Teresa Placona, asking her for a photo which then ended up on Instagram and celebrates the beauty of ancient crafts: “Vinicio is a truly fantastic person. We hadn’t seen him here at our shop for a few years, due to his many work commitments, but this year he came almost every day to get our hot bread and in the evening our pizzas and our trousers. And towards the end of the summer he said to me: “I have to take a photo with you”. And then he posted this photo on Instagram. He is a person of few words very polite and who knows how to listen. She told us that what we do is an art. A mission. Also because we get up at three o’clock every night. We work in a tourist area, on the sea where we can work better and more, because in winter the town empties.”
