The Police are investigating the attack on a 15-year-old that occurred last night near the Catalani church, one of the nightlife areas of Messina. The boy would have been surprised from behind by at least one other person who hit him and walked away. The 15-year-old was subsequently treated at the Piedmont emergency room. No charges have been filed at this time.
Investigations were started by the Volante officers who intervened on site. The young man said he was unable to name those responsible because he was attacked from behind. In the next few hours, images from the video surveillance cameras in the area will be acquired.
